Jennifer Perlstein

Events Manager, Hotel Vitale

Drawing upon years of experience in the hospitality industry, Jennifer Perlstein brings her love of event planning, food, and wine to her new role as Hotel Vitale’s events manager.  Previously, Perlstein was Hotel Vitale’s assistant director of food and beverage.

As Hotel Vitale’s events manager, Perlstein is responsible for handling small group events – the most popular sized gatherings at the luxury waterfront hotel – which range from intimate dinners and wedding-related celebrations, to executive gatherings and team building meetings.  Perlstein, a certified sommelier, will also handle all events that incorporate wine and spirits-focused experiences.

Intent on pulling together the resources to travel the world, Perlstein began her hospitality career by working nights at a restaurant while maintaining a day job at a Silicon Valley high-tech firm.  Upon returning to the United States following her global adventure, Perlstein decided to forego the rewards of a high-tech career to pursue her passion for food and wine.  She joined the team at Nola in Palo Alto as a server, and became the restaurant’s general manager just four years later.  She then went on to become the general manager at The Edendale Grill, a classic restaurant in a converted 1923 firehouse, located in the Silverlake neighborhood of Los Angeles.

Perlstein originally joined the Hotel Vitale team at Americano Restaurant & Bar in 2008.  In addition to overseeing the food and beverage operation, she served as the restaurant’s sommelier and maintained the restaurant’s collection of over 200 labels, much with an Italian focus, as well as an extensive and diverse list of by-the-glass offerings.

Perlstein resides in San Francisco.
